Blog Topic #12
The Rotary Club does not have the power to tax the public but it does "tax" within. every meeting, which is once a week, towards the end of the meeting the "Finemaster" comes to the front and begins. each week there is a new Finemaster to keep it fair. The fine is typically $5, and you can be fine for pretty much anything. even slapstick reasons.. which make it much more amusing. even though i was not a member, i was fined for my phone going off during the Finemaster proceedings. i gladly paid the $5. this money goes into the general fund for the Club and helps pay for charity events and activities such as the Rotary Pancake Breakfast during San Carlos Hometown Days, which i will be volunteering.
